'One-cuts' describes Liotta's collage technique in which she cuts around the perimeter of
a selection and lifts the piece out whole from the daily newspaper, excised
as-is, with texts as attached to the image.
The project is an interaction with
the discoverable cosmic landscape as both news and poetry,
using The New York
Times/ Science Times editions just as they were publishing the Hubble and other satellite imagery in the first decade of the 21st century.
